I moved into a rental house over a year ago, and I am now in the process of buying it.

The issue that has always been is cars parked on my street and on the nearest 3 streets in any direction from my house.

The streets are narrow as it is, but worse is when cars line both sides of the street for entire blocks....there is only room for one car at a time to travel, but also no place to pull over to allow someone to travel in the opposite direction.
In many cases, someone has to reverse an entire block to allow the other car to go through.
Not an easy feat in the dark when it's raining.

From what I see, most of the cars have expired temporary paper plates and about half of them are crashed cars missing bumpers or fenders. I have yet to see one with current inspection / registration, so my guess is there are a few residents that have a used car sales business with no lot to store their cars.

I live in the village Pheasant run sub-division, Houston, 77083 Just off Eldridge between Bellaire and Beechnut.
I know Houston police do not patrol the area, but Harris county Sheriff does.

A quick google search could not get me to the real HOA website, but plenty of spam links.

I'm trying to find a way to get all the junk cars removed, so if anyone has any solid advice or could point me in the right direction, I would be grateful.

Why are you so intent on buying a house in that neighborhood? If you already see problems there it's time to look someplace else. This problem is only going to get worse. Find a neighborhood with an active HOA.

Yeah, that would be an instant turn off to me....I'd look elsewhere to buy.

if they are parked on the street without current stickers they can probably be ticketed.i hate neighborhoods that most people park on the street. Its to bad most people don't use their garage for cars anymore. Ofcourse they are the first ones to complain about their cars being screwed up by vandals. i still find it interesting how people have massively expensive cars and park them outside wherever at night.
