My husband and I are having a house built in Grand Harbor, so I was very excited to see everyone's positive opinions about the neighborhood. We're building the Seguin...we had looked at already-built homes for a couple months and just found nothing we liked. Then we saw an inventory Seguin and fell in love with it...so we decided to build. Thanks for the suggestions about the inspector. I'm glad to hear that the apartments seem to be upscale. That was my one concern about the neighborhood. We're really impressed with Centex so far!

There really is a swimming facility in Falcon Point that we will get to share?

Yes, $ 60/Sqft. If you can get less than that you are lucky. ofcourse commercially this area is booming, so always hope for the best.

what about school around this community?
Katy Independent School District

what's the HOA fee anually?
$ 600 / Yr

whats the properties taxes?
Around 2.5 % - As of now MUD Tax not Included. One of the lowest taxes in Katy Area. Falls under harris county

how is the traffic to commute between beltway 8 and here?
To beltway, Peak Hours - 30 Mins, Off peak 15 mins. Will change after the toll is completed(Expected to be completed by the end of the year'08)

What's the deal with the playground? Ever since our first time driving through the neighborhood, there has been caution tape on the slide. At first we figured it was being repaired, but it has now been 2 months since the first time we were there. Is the slide being repaired or is the caution tape just a permanent fixture?

Default Estates of Grand Harbor

We are now having a Broadway built at Grand Harbor... as many others have.

We want to thank those of you who gave your input. So far, we are finding the experience fairly unstressful, with the weekly updates and easy access to our site. We love the peacefulness of the community, and the friendliness of those we've met so far.

If anyone has any questions we can answer, we'll be glad to.

Hello Astrosfan,

Playground will be fixed by mid August as per HOA.

Default Hoa

My husband and I recently moved into our new home in Grand Harbor. We were wondering if there were HOA meetings that residents can attend. Does anyone know?

I've never attended, (I should try to). But if you have any information, you can visit the HOA website

PCMI

It dosen't give a whole lot of information, but if you email them, they are quick to respond.

Thanks for the link to the neighborhood blog. My husband and I really want to get involved in the neighborhood and would like to participate in any activities that are going on in the neighborhood that would help us get to know our neighbors. I'm not sure how to join the blog, though. I'm able to read it, but can't find anywhere to click to join/follow the blog. Am I looking in the wrong place...or just slow?
