I apologize if someone has already asked this before. We are trying to choose between the following day care centers close the CCL for a 3.5 yr old

Goddard - Has a good brand name and program not sure how this center is
Kids R Kids Barker Cypress - Have heard some good things
Growing scholars - Montessori
The Learning experience -looks nice in the tour ,newly opened last month so a bit skeptical

Areas of interest are cleanliness, safety, kids should enjoy at the same time be challenged

I did check the DFPS and all these seem to be not too bad. we are pulling the kid out of a very nice Montessori only because of the distance so would like let them continue to go to a place they would look forward to.

If you folks have some other suggestions in that area that would be welcome

thanks.

My child is at Montessori at Copperfield (Queenston, across from Langham Creek Y). We are very happy with them.

Ours is at the Goddard school. We love it. She's only 2 but they actually have a pretty structured curriculum, even for 2 year olds. She's learning things that are surprising us. Go talk to Sarah (the owner) and see if you can tour the facility. I hear there is a waiting list though, so it might take a while to get in.

When we moved from out of state, we were trying to find a good Montessori for our daughter close to where we are living. Based on our research, Lakewood Montessori had some really good reviews. But we couldn't get in because of a long waiting list. So, our daughter has attended Goddard school back in 2013 (as soon as it was opened). The pricing was very competitive and they had some special promotion to attract enrollment, I suppose. However, they didn't have good structured program and we didn't really like it. Perhaps, it was brand new and they were trying to put a program together back then. But, again, this was almost 2 years ago so take it FWIW.
After 6 months or so, we received a call from Lakewood indicating there is an opening since someone moved out of state, we didn't think twice to grab that opportunity. One downside is, it's bit more expensive. But, she has been attending Lakewood for year and a half and we can really see the improvement on her; she loves it and so does my wife.
It's little farther from CCL, unless your work is close by. Hope this helps.

They are about to open a new day care in Towne Lake at the corner of Tuckerton and Greenhouse. It appears to be VERY close to opening.

Tom_Jerry, My kids currently go to lakewood, one of them cannot take the long 30 min drive he has motion sickness otherwise we would not even consider taking them out

haudi, the learning experience i mentioned is the one on greenhouse rd they are open from what i know, just a bit skeptical as they are new and there were not many kids when i toured last time

bunnymcfluff, thanks for your input we will check the montessori @copperfield that one and west montessori both have 0 violations as per DFPS
