I thought the houses looked too old to be the Villages of Bear Creek. I looked up the 15800 block of Sandy Hill - it's the Bear Creek Village subdivision. Different subdivision altogether. Typical news coverage that gets it wrong.

Actually, this subdivision is pretty safe. It has a huge percentage of retirees that have been there for a very long time. The home invasion sounds like an aberration situation that more than likely centers on the victim (who called a friend to take him to the hospital, instead of 911) (????).

The interviewed neighbor said she wasn't surprised that it happened in the neighborhood, but that it happened to that house, because of all the odd in-an-out traffic there. Media just divided her comments - they really do a terrible job.

I agree with cheryjohns that this is likely something internal between the perpetrators and the victim.

Let's just say that I may or may not know who this is, and I need a new weed dealer.
