Might I recommend finding apartments in the Galleria Area, you would be in a good area close to allen pkwy and be close to indian shops. They are all off Hillcroft and 59/Harwin Area. So you would be less than 5 minutes from them, yet only 10 minutes from allen pkwy downtown. Good Luck

Google Houston Gandhi district.

Not trying to sound racist but that's what the street signs say.

^^ I've never noticed it's called the Gandhi district. Chinatown areas are just more blatant. That's just Westchase/Harwin/Hillcroft to me. I mean you can Bing map your address and Chinatown Houston and you get X marks the spot because it's that big and taken over to be declared an area of high concentration.

I notice lots of India shops but I didn't think it was declare Indiatown. Huh. Learn something new everyday.

Is the same company in NJ saying "Let's transfer Indian employees to Houston" because that's trippy. Could be coincidence but both from NJ and working in the Allen Parkway area? That's different.

I see quite lot of indian community and indian grocery stores/restaurant pretty much everywhere in town. The best way would be to check with your coworkers and see where most of them are staying. They would be able to assit you much better.

Very easy, Google map search in Houston "Indian Grocery" Go where the concentration of results are.

Kinda grinds my gears when I see posts like this though... I understand feeling the comforts of "Home" but branching out into other cultures is a good thing. Don't limit yourself to just searching the areas where there are lots of Indians.
