We recently moved from California to The Woodlands and my husband just noticed a new/changed mole near his eye, we suspect it is a melanoma since he spent years as a lifeguard. I'm hoping someone can recommend a good dermatologist that specializes in skin cancer? We don't mind driving, just want the best care. Thanks for any advice.

Jimmy Schmidt if he has not retired is one of the best in Houston, office is around 1960 at I 45. If he is no longer in practice, call Northwest Diagnostic Clinic. They put a dermatologist on staff abut 2 years ago. Their office is at 1960 around I 45 and in the Woodlands. DH uses both.

Goof luck.

If you suspect cancer, go to MD Anderson. Madeleine Duvic is highly respected.

Home | Woodlands Dermatology Associates

They came very highly recommended.

Just be prepared for a long wait to get in. I have a mole that I'm seeing change, and I have a history of carcinoma in my family, and when I called to make my appointment in July, their first available was October.

I find that everywhere I call though. There must be a shortage of dermatologists. It's ridiculous.
