I am thinking of trying the 221 again to DT again and am wondering what the current travel times are.

I used to ride it up until a few years ago and it was only about 30 mins door to door.

I tried it again for the first time since last September and it took me almost TWO HOURS in the am. Almost cried. Then I switched to 228 Addicks which is quick and easy at 25 mins in the am.

221 has about FIVE times as many buses than 228 in the afternoon outbound in DT which is better. But if the trip is too long nowadays I'll just stick to 228.

Thanks for the info in advance!

I was just talking to a friend who recently moved who used to take the 222 bus from the Grand Parkway P&R. He said it was better for him than the 221.

I take it in the morning around 6 AM and get to DT 25-30 mins. Going home at 5 takes 40-50 mins. I've never had a 2 hour bus ride in, but I don't go that late.

Also, you can check out the times here... http://www.ridemetro.org/SchedulesMa...tycorridor.pdf

I hope this helps.
