Need cheap apt in clear lake, seabrook, league city etc (sublet, university)

I need to help a young female family member find a rock bottom cheap apt in a safe for a single female complex. She wants to be in the clear lake area. Can anyone with actual knowledge suggest a cheap place for a single female in clear lake, league city, seabrook, etc? I don't want her to live off of el dorado between 45 and hwy 3 so that cluster is out.

I would look on Craigslist and try to sublet from someone who rents from the student housing complex at UHCL. It's called University .... something.

Rock bottom cheap and safe usually don't go hand in hand.

Cheap is going to be a tough one. I agree the cluster along hwy 3 and El Dorado is not going to work either.

The best for your money (and relatively safest) that I can think of is South Shore Lakes Apts in League City. Also Hidden Lakes Apts on Egret Bay.

Or try something like roomster, but roommates can be risky unless it is someone you already know.

Yes thanks for the suggestions. I know cheap and safe don't go together but unfortunately that's the hand she's been dealt so we have to find the safest cheap thing we can for a young female living alone.
