lol, +1. I guess it would be a good place to people watch during lunchtime at least.

-Getting asked my homeless people for cigarettes.

I joke.

But, seriously, I wish I had spent more time in downtown. It's gets a bad reputation, but I'm sure you could find some really interesting things if you explored.
Those tunnels always intrigued me (seems very 'Gotham') and I always wanted to go to Discovery Green.
One of the only "fun" things I did was visit the Downtown Aquarium -- and thought it was decent. That Ferris wheel (didn't catch it, because I don't think they were running it that day) always looked like it would be loads of fun, too.

What's the bad reputation? I am new, actually not even there yet, so I ask in earnest. What's downtown's bad rap?

^^That its boring and nothing goes on.

Its not a high crime area, but there are a couple homeless shelter/food pantrys on the edges. There are things to do if you look around. There just isnt a bunch of residential property in the area.

Hilarious. They are narrow little habittrails with sundries stores like you see in the ground floor of most office buildings everywhere. There are also a few sandwich shops. All of it closes at quitting time and remains closed on the weekend. Not much to see.
