Hi, my wife and I are thinking of moving from San Antonio to the Auburn Lakes community in Spring, TX. Is anyone familiar with the area...any info would be greatly appreciated. We are in our late twenty's, our son Ethan is a year and four months old, and Ian is due on the 17th of Dec. We really liked the neighborhood and surrounding area, but would like feedback from anyone currently living there. Thanks in advance.

Default Spring

I am sorry I do not know anything about the Auburn Lakes sub. I am going to be living in Spring though. We will be moving into Wimbledon Estates at the end of December. I think tt is considered an "older" community, our house was built in 1981. Basically I just thought I would say Hi, since no one had sent an answer to your post. Good luck with your move.

Maybe this will help, call the Spring ISD, they should be able to give you information about the area.

Hi e_r_a,

Auburn Lakes is in Klein ISD - very solid. You are minutes away from the Woodlands shopping and amenities - great value. The estate homes in Auburn Lakes are very nice - albeit on small lots. You can get homes backing up to the golf course, one of the lakes in the community or something near the new community center facility. You may also want to check out Augusta Pines (as close to the Woodlands as Auburn Lakes) and Windrose.

I lived in the Windrose subdivision (prices from the 140's-800's) and we are also a young family with a small child. You can get a lot more for your money in Spring than you can in the Woodlands, and you're so close, you can enjoy all of their amenities (and I personally think Spring is a lot friendlier!) And there is a new Klein ISD elementary school IN Windrose, so you could walk your child to school! Windrose has lots of other amenties for young families as well--2 swimming pools, playgrounds, a lake, golf course, etc. Please feel free to DM me if you have any questions!
