Do not use this builder unless you enjoy being lied to. They have moved our closing date numerous times. They just keep giving us dates to appease us then as we approach the date it changes again. We started with october 31st closing date, then late november, then dec 10th, then dec 15, dec 31st. And now they have told us jan 26th. Who nows what date they will give us next. We asked to get out of the deal but there is no way out. It has been hell! We asked for concessions for the inconvenience and they said no.

2600 sq ft. 9 months just finished a week ago. After my post they did offer to give us our money back but we were already so invested in with time that we jsut decided to wait it out. In the end we are happy to be in our beutiful home. The sheetrockers that the builder contracted out to were terrible, but they came back and fixed the more noticeable problems after the walk through. Just glad it is all over. I would only recommend this builder if you go in knowing that it could take almost a year from start to finish. (We started the process in late May)

One of my close relatives purchased a new inventory home through Devon Street Homes last year. So far their home has been up to the expectations of the owner. The management and sales staff were easy to get along with and they did repair on time and fixed all of the issues that came up during inspection and after closing. Their home was also closed on time and it was a new construction. It is too early to say anything because the house is relatively newer but the service they received after closing was phenomenal. All the issues they had identified were fixed within one week. The contractor responsible gave his personal phone number to them and asked them to call him directly if any issue came up. I myself have seen their various floor plans and the sq ft price they offer is really good as compared to their competitors in the same neighborhood. Based on the feedback of home inspectors that they used the home is comparable to any Brighton or Meritage home if nothing higher.

I was hoping to get some information about the warranty provided by Devon Street Homes after move in. Is this a builder that stands by their work or do they make you sorry you bought from them later?
