Montrose-area woman says motorcycle smeared with feces - Houston Chronicle

Honestly after living here over a year I can't say I am all that surprised it happened.

**** happens. A year or two ago I read about a lesbian in San Francisco being harassed and then gang-raped because she had a rainbow sticker on her car. Does that mean SF is a place where everyone hates homosexuals?

One isolated incident doesn't give you the right to write off the behavior of our city's population as a whole.

Go to the gay pride parade this year to get a real feel as to how Houstonians treat homosexuals. There are tens of thousands of people there (over 40k last year i believe) and a great deal are straight and even bring their small children to the festivities. Now THAT would never happen in SF's Folsom deal that goes on.

I don't understand why someone who has a problem with gays would be hanging out in Montrose.

Montrose isnt nearly as gay as it once was and surely outsiders and especially suburbanites dramatically exaggerate the area's gayness. The area has really gentrified and you're much more likely to find yuppies going to overpriced restaurants or hipster kids now. The only gay part of Montrose is pretty small and tucked away on a backstreet.

Actually there are pix of that Folsom event showing adpoted 2-3 yr old girls in dog collars and leashes, next to an extreme insertion exhibit. I don't suggest you look for them at work though.

So did the person want the bike moved because she's gay or because the bike is in the way? See it wouldn't be a hate crime if this person want's the bike removed because of legit reasons. I think the woman is reaching on this one. Not about the person who left the slander but assuming it's a hate crime.

All crimes are hate crimes. Seriously people, does it really matter? A crime is a crime. If someone robs me I could care less"why" they robbed me. I want them caught. Stop labeling everything. Liberals love to classify everything. Stop!
