I used to go every Saturday for years, until I got a Kindle. I still go once a month or so. It's a great library, very extensive collections of both fiction and non-fiction. I don't even notice the homeless, they don't bother me at all.

Try it!

It's decent. Obviously Boston (which I don't even like) has it beat on collection and architecture, but then again, it's Boston. They spent 1% of their budget on the library system, something that would never happen here.

If homeless people are there, that's great. I hope they can read. Homeless people are unfortunately part of living in a city in America, so I'm long over that. Like I said, my friend in SF has definitely seen people crap their pants on the bus and other places in public, so I'm glad our Hoston homeless are relatively tame.
