I have an IL teaching certificate and will be taking the test to get my TX, plus 8 years of experience teaching high school and college. I want to teach, but I'd prefer part-time or job sharing because I have 4 kids in elementary school. I was just told that FBISD does not allow/doesn't offer part-time or job sharing... Are there any school districts within a reasonable commute from Sugar Land that can offer part-time or job share? I am certified for ESL, Spanish, and School Counseling... I would prefer to be able to get my kids to and from school without using a before/after care...

Try the Charter schools such as KIPP, YES (I wouldn't suggest Harmony, too many headaches).

You mentioned that you had college teaching experience. Have you applied to HCC and Lone Star College to see if any adjunct positions are open?

I don't know if you are open to working from home but Connections Academy and K12 both have part-time telecommuting teaching jobs for K-12 level.
