Film makers usually shoot in the most generic parts of Pasadena that resemble middle America. Why? Because they are trying to resemble middle America! So those leafy neighborhoods with the perfect American home, two stories, white picket fence, etc. The idea is NOT to shoot in areas that look "specifically" like CA especially when the movie is suppose to be taking place in Ohio.

most of the woodlands neighborhoods don't even have sidewalks, and the driveways go over grass-lined drainage retention... not very neighborhood-like or camera friendly.

jek74 you idiot. You know for a fact that The Woodlands is in majority a cookie cutter type SUBURB of Houston. They are the leaders in subdivision planning and generic home builders. They have a sea of homes and then they realized that would be too boring and put in a "city center" type area with a man made river to make money.

Showing a few pictures of something contrary to facts DOES NOT; I repeat DOES NOT disprove anything.
