Due to a recent divorce I have just moved out of a house I have lived in for 12 years that had everything I wanted in a house. I am now in a rental for a year with a lease but know I don't want this to be my "forever" house so I need to begin my search for another house. Although I work downtown, I realize I can get a lot more bang for my buck if I stay out on the west or NW part of town in the "burbs."

Can anyone suggest fairly new developments that would have houses several years old (and thus have landscaping, window covering etc. in place) that would be in that range? The school district is a biggie, only because of the prospective resale value - I have no children at home any more.

Thanks

So you would be considering both Katy and Cypress?
