Diversity is extremely overhyped,
there's cities in the South that have been 1/2 black, 1/2 white for more than a century and I'm afraid to go there.

I would put more value on a survey that would measure how good people get along in those cities
such as "Do you love your city?", "Do you attend public events in your city?", etc, etc.

I measure diversity by the restaurants that I can find.
That's why to me Houston is automatically more diverse than San Antonio.

So what. I don't get why people get so stuck on this diversity nonsense. If we were #1 what difference would it make. Houston is a city that will take anybody in so there is your diversity, which isn't automatically a good thing.

^^^ Nonsense. Diversity is very important to me and a lot of people.

Diversity enriches the culture of a city, and thus adds to what it has to offer.

The lower diversity in Cities like Austin and San Antonio was the major driver causing me to run back to Houston.

I hated the lack of a variety of restaurants and no supermarkets with multicultural ingredients. Diversity for me plays into the top three factors in moving to a city.

Let them. I can handle them. I have spent a considerable amount of time in all major areas of Texas except El Paso (only short visits there). Houston and DFW (as a whole, not just Dallas city) are the only metropolitan areas in Texas that are full city areas.

They can huff and they can puff, but they shan't blow my theory down.
