Adults in filthy home case already on probation - Houston Chronicle

15 dogs, 15-20 cats, 2 horses, and a baby - while they are on probation. They have already had 5 children taken away.

I don't get the animal hoarding thing, especially when they are neglected.

I don't get any of it.

There should be mandatory classes for people who want to procreate, much less own animals. And if their children were kept and treated in conditions like that, I'd hate to see how they treated those animals.

Too bad we can't have forced sterilization. Some of these people shouldn't be able to have children. Thank god that cute little baby was rescued from that filth. Hopefully one of the baby's family members can take care of the baby or they can find a home for her.

I've been saying that for years. You need a license to fish, carry a gun, drive a car, sell real estate. But you don't need a license to have or take care of a baby? That's never made any sence to me. There are A LOT of idiot parents out there.

Exactly how did CPS not know about the baby. The other children had been removed from the home and CPS was supposedly monitoring them. How did the neighbors not hear the baby crying?

Quote from the article:
Quote:
Larsen and Parker pleaded guilty to child injury charges a year ago - six weeks after the baby was born - and were sentenced to probation.
I hope they are now put in jail so they cannot have any more kids.

To me, it's all very simple. When you have a state where taxes are paid mostly on the conditional, you wind up with social services that are awful and cannot keep up.

Of course CPS cannot keep up either. How could they?

I've proposed subsiding "free vasectomies" in a political forum and most people were against it

And of course if she gets out again, she will be pregnant within a year.

Hoarding animals is often a sign of mental illness.
