Just curious if anyone on this forum lives in this neighborhood. Have you had any problems with the builder?

The community appears to be very nice, nice looking homes. What builder, there are like 6-7 different ones?

There are several posts in this forum about KB homes, you might want to do a search. Many of the ones I've seen don't seem to have much good to say.

That is why I targeted this neighborhood - it is one of their premium developments. Pretty much no matter what national builder you pick - there are plenty of websites warning buyers...but these are coming from scores of people - out of the thousands that buy houses every year. So...I am beginning to think that it is a vocal minority that are complaining about KB, Pulte, Ryland, Centex, etc. I am looking for specific neighborhoods to get an idea of people that bought and are satisfied.

LOL Banker I thought you were a potential buyer Just was giving advice, didn't realize that you were just trying to get feedback on the homes themselves. Sorry

No, sorry. This is the Houston forum and I don't live in "this" and don't know "the builder". Can you elaborate what's the problem? We are curious. Thanks AustinTraveler. :-)

I hope KB built those right. Shoddy construction techniques will hurt their reputation as a builder of high-end and homes of other price points.

From what I have seen here in SA - KB has a higher build standard for their premium communities. Here are the links to San Antonio's premium KB communities - we don't have a Martha Stewart line - but these are all pretty nice:

Saddle Mountain in Stone Oak San Antonio:
KB Home Community - Saddle Mountain - San Antonio, TX (http://www.kbhome.com/Community.aspx?CommID=00865162 - broken link)

The Quarry at Stone Mountain in Stone Oak San Antonio:
KB Home Community - Quarry at Iron Mountain - San Antonio, TX (http://www.kbhome.com/Community.aspx?CommID=00865151 - broken link)

The Trails at Herff Ranch in Boerne:
KB Home Community - Trails at Herff Ranch Texan Collection - Boerne, TX (http://www.kbhome.com/Community.aspx?CommID=00865160 - broken link)
KB Home Community - Trails at Herff Ranch Liberty Collection - Boerne, TX (http://www.kbhome.com/Community.aspx?CommID=00865161 - broken link)

I am curious about those Martha Stewart homes. I really like the floorplans since they include some unique features like mud rooms and oversized utility rooms. I think my biggest hesitation would be fear that all the moms there might be little "Martha Stewart wannabees" who are contstantly trying to outperform each other. I would also love to hear from someone about whether the community has similar amenities to Cinco Ranch. We have small children, so nice pools/splash parks are high on our list!
