After review all your opinions, I hesitate to subscribe with Angie's List... I don't mind about the membership fee, but I wonder do I really need to join them if I can find the information somewhere else?
Please advise,

PS: I'm not in TX, but I think Angie's List in other areas might be the same services.

It's absolutely worthless in my opinion. I never found any contractor while redoing out house. There weren't that many companies to look at and it just wasn't enough info to work with.
I cancelled when they started funding Rush Limbaugh's radio show and stood by his hate speech targeting women. That was enough to send me packing for good!

Local resources tend to be better at recommending options, imo.

I use the HOA yahoo group here and get recommendations from my neighbors.

I tried using a few contractors on Angie's List but none of them really liked the coupons or discounts and they didn't really live up to the reviews.
