Hey,
We live in North Hampton (just south of the Woodlands) and it's great. IT's in Spring TX, and an older neighborhood. We're in Harris county but have the feel of a small neighborhood. House prices can be low also. For families the schools work because k-12 are within walking distance. K-6 adjoins North Hampton and many children ride their bikes to school. Just across the tracks are the middle and high schools.
We have big trees and no new building as all the lots are built up. Also all residential, no business. 20 mph streets and a police sub station right in the neighborhood. 3 pools and many parks.
feel free to write. TSB
