Hi,

I noticed that there are some white particles when I put hot water from bathroom top into a glass. The cold water comes out to be clear.

I have a water softener system in my house. I checked the kitchen sink and it is does not produce white particles in hot water.

Any idea what those white particles are and how to clear them out?

UPDATE: I just tested it again. I put hot water in a clear cup. The cup filled with water became all blurry with particles. The particles float to the top and them disappeared. The looked like power of some sort.

Tim is right. Those would be tiny bubbles.

It's common when we start to see cooler weather. The water in the supply pipes is cooler and therefore contains more dissolved gases. When the water is heated the gases start to come out of solution and then the pressure drop when the water comes out of the tap shocks more gas out of solution and you get the little micro bubbles you're describing. It's confirmed to be bubbles if they (i) float and (ii) disappear.

Sediment from the Hot Water Heater? Might be time to drain it.

Either bubbles (especially if it disappeared) or sediment. In some cases the sediment was already there and you never see it, just for some reason it became more pronounced. In other parts of Tx, this is everyday tapwater.
