Moved here a month ago and just got settled in to our new (rented) townhome near Clay and Waugh. I am looking at a job opportunity on Dairy Ashford near Briar Forest. My interviews have taken place in the middle of the day and it took me about 25 minutes each way. How much time will I need to allow when I need to arrive by 8:00 or 8:30am? Is there really such a thing as a "reverse commute"??

I do that reverse commute to Park Ten and it takes me about 30 minutes in the morning, door to door, from the Woodland Heights to the office, and about 40 to 45 minutes in the evening.

I would add 10 minutes to the time you had in the middle of the day to account for traffic lights and any school zones -- probably not more than 30 to 35 minutes.

It's a reverse commute so take I-10 and get off at Dairy Ashford. I'd allow 30 minutes each day. It is truly a reverse commute. If I10 is messed up, take Allen Parkway to Shepherd then to Memorial and take the Woodway split to Voss then left to Briar Forest then take a right and you're on your way.

My husband has a similar commute (Heights to Energy Corridor). It tends to be about 30 minutes on a good day. I-10 against traffic is like a dream compared to my commute. It's totally do-able!
