Because petting an animal is the same as cruelly torturing them?

Also, killing an animal for food is not equivalent burning, stabbing and burning it for fun.

I don't go to the Live stock show or the rodeo because I know they will be slaughtered and I find some of the animal acts abusive. I am not a full vegetarian as I eat meat 1-3 times a month. When I do I am mostly able to eat organic free range meats or even from local farms where they humanely slaughter (I used to be 100% veg). not perfect, but i am not the crying for the sake of the animals person while buying 5lbs of ground chuck for dinner every week

people do some twisted messed up stuff to animals. and im not just talking about what happens in slaughterhouses so the majority of people can eat. im not going to fault people for still doing that. but to say "no big deal" when some serious twisted messed up stuff happens is a little much.

all of my families pets, and now mine, are rescues. at the shelter where i got my other cat there was one still recovering from being hung by its neck (after apparently being sexually abused) and set on fire. no big deal that that kind of stuff happens

TimBomb is harmless and I am not trying to fight you but these kind of discussions are important. There is an animal rights philosopher who is probably best known for saying the worst genocide in history is what happens to livestock. but as humans we have learned so much in the past 20 years about what animals can truly feel suffering (as we understand suffering). and guess what - some of them are the ones we eat. some of the others are traditional pets

my senses tell me this is the mexican burglary-tortured pet scam... torture your own pet, then get money from caring internet folks.

I'll take this opportunity to remind y'all about cosmetic testing and animals. Talk about animal cruelty. Cold hearted burglars are not the only folks mistreating animals.
Look at the company before you buy grooming products.

This thread is so ludicrous, I can't even take it seriously. I haven't been around this board a long time, but it smells like troll right now.

That is horrible!

We need to throw the person who did this in prison!
