They just painted this water tower up again.
Fact: the high school basketball team there won a state championship in 1949, not 1945. It was not long after the ships blew up in the port and leveled the lower third or so of town, in April 1947. They used the high school gym as a makeshift morgue. They tore that building down about 15 years ago.
