Hi,

I would like to know the average cost for auto insurance in Sugar Land - Let say it is for comprehensive coverage for two cars? Just want to figure what the expenses going to be like if I relocate. Thanks for your help!

Default Depends

It depends on your ages, cars, are you in an apartment or house, your driving record, do you currently have insurance, and most of all your credit.
We think it is expensive. Over 25, clean driving record, comp/collision on both cars without PIP, and we pay over $250 a month.

I'm in Richmond, actually closer to Katy, but they call my subdivision Richmond - I'm way over 25, and have full coverage on my 1999 Olds and I pay $284. every 6 months.

You all are paying WAY too much for your insurance. Better check out Geico.

This may help - I am moving to Sugar Land (New Territory) and I've gone out for some combined HO/Car insurance policies with State Farm and Nationwide. State Farm was a little cheaper, about $300 a car per 6 mo., Nationwide was about $100 more but better on the HOI. For reference, I have a clean record and 30 yrs. old, 1996 Probe and 2006 Rav4. (Rav was slightly more, but really the policies are almost the same cost)

Best of luck.

Ft Bend County has HIGH insurance rates. When my mom moved from Ft Bend to Montgomery county her car insurance dropped 1/3.

Just another reason to move to the woods!!

I've had the same policy for 10 years and for my husband and me it's $110 / month with State Farm. We get discounts for longevity, house insurance combined, decent driving record.
