Is anyone experiencing any dropped internet connections with Windstream internet in Sugar Land area?

I have occasional (1-2 times a week) dropped connections for a few minutes. Does anyone have similar problems?

Windstream in New Territory is obnoxiously slow. Several times I have tried to stream Netflix movies and when they kept starting over again, Netflix said it was because the data transfer was too slow to stream a movie. It was something like 30% of what it needed to be. Not sure if that is just Netflix blaming someone else but I tended to believe them.

I am using a h*cked AT&T wireless modem on Windstream. The modem is identical to what WS is using, same model, just a different flash that I modded. So I am wondering if this is just my modem misbehavin' or an entire area network goes down occasionally.

So it's just slow and no downtime so far?

Windstream has its issues and its not uncommon to have your internet slow down around nighttime. Other than that, if you experience internet trouble and call tech support and they ask you to reset your router...DON'T DO IT!

Usually, if you let your computer do its thing and or use the fix this options on your computer, it can reset the IP address and automatically fix your problems.

we use windstream dsl with Vonage phone - no issues, may be once a while when there is a electricity disruption need to re-set the modem
BUT the speed has limitation believe max out around 3 mbps depends on what speed you signed-up for so if anyone is looking for high-speed then you should look into other fiber-optic/cable providers
I don't think windstream will be efficient for netflix streaming.
Ygnition is fine no issues little expensive though - in our community we only have option for windstream and ygnition.

No downtime, technically, although it becomes so slow, it might as well be down.

I upgraded to 12 MB speed a few months ago (Sugar Land First Colony) and it was great for a month or two. Now on downloads it runs at 12 MB for about 5 seconds, then 0 for 5 sec. Then 12 for 5 sec and then 0. All the time....day or night. Sometimes the down lag can be 10 sec. No idea why. Right next to a DSL switch. Think they throttled us back. Going to change ISP's soon.

windstream is terrible.

Dropped them a few years ago due to frequent dropouts and horribly slow connections during primetime hours.

Honestly, guys. I can't really say it is Windstream at fault for my internet being down often here in New Territory. It loses connection every day for a short while (like 1 minute), but I can't confirm it is an ISP problem before I switch my wireless AT&T router to a Windstream device.
I am using exactly the same router that Windstream is using, but maybe the AT&T flash is outdated/different.
