Me and my girlfriend are considering moving to Houston and we are looking to get a house with 2+ acres under $75k, is this possible...? Any links to realtors and or real estate websites would be greatly appreciated.

Default It is a stretch, but......

......might be possible ....more likely if you get 40-50 miles out of town. Acreage will run about $10-$20K/acre within the 40 mile point I would think. Look out around Tx Hwy 105 between US Hwy 59 and I-45. Where do you plan to work.....this is a major factor.

Houses are available in town for that price if you want a city lot. Houston is growing more west and some north and SW....much less east...so look in the areas with less desirable expansion for better values.

I'd say no. MAYBE if you wanted a major fixer-upper. Or a mobilhome. perhaps....pretty far outside the city. I'm not sure you'd have an easy time finding a HOUSE anywhere for that price- maybe a condo. You can search [link removed] for local realestate. I live 30 min North of Houston, pretty familier with the area if you have any more questions.
