Just curious...
Each place is different...you have to contact them for details.

I attended one recently. They showed a movie to 4 year olds where all the dinosaurs were burned to death by flaming asteroids and it ended with some grim warning that Planet Earth could suffer the same fate. This was supposed to be a fun birthday party but this part was scary.

My friend had her son's at the Ice rink- apparently they do bumper cars on the ice and then games, etc. I second the Castle Jump- very fun. Haven't been to a party at Sugar Creek, but my kids love the playscape. We were invited to a party at Velocity Sports, but we couldn't go. Also the YMCA can do bday parties (sports themes +climbing wall) and Lifetime Fitness can too.

The HMNS Sugar Land branch (in Telfair) was fun too... a real hit with the kids for something different. We were guests rather than hosts at that one, so not sure on the details of it all.

There's a swimming place on Cartwright Rd just east of Sugar Land that does parties too, the name escapes me now.
That would be 'Sea Star'... correct? My kids went summer camp there a couple of years ago.

How About Fun Tiki on Murphy - going south just past Cartwright. It may be a little cold for mini golf or racing go-karts outdoors but nothing can stop 5 year olds...
Adding to my other post, Houston Swim School (90 & Dairy Ashford) also hosts Birthday parties.

If you are a resident of SL, you can rent out any of the city parks for 4 hr blocks. We did a party at the Memorial park off University. We did have to get the food on our own and rented out a inflatable bounce house. Our guests complimented on how it was a unique and enjoyable venue for the party. Recommended only in non-summer months obviously.

What happens when local residents try to use the park during your rented block?

In the case of Memorial Park, the rental granted us exclusive use of the covered pavilion. The rest of the park was shared with the public.

In general, at our party, as well as others I've seen when I've taken my kids to the park, is that no one really challenges the renter's use of the pavilion, and any other area that party guests congregate at.

But if you are looking for complete autonomous use of facilities, this option won't appeal.
