Then I guess you don't want to buy 3011 Peachstone Place in Spring? Something is wrong - it has a tax rate of 4.596 - the others in the subdivision are just over 3%.

Yeah, but something's wrong - it's the ONLY house with that rate. Somebody screwed up when this person bought it and they have been overpaying for four years. I called the agent that has it listed to let her know to let the seller know to get it corrected by the appraisal district. My guess is that is why it has been on the market 6 months although it looks to be in great shape. I feel the seller is due an overpayment refund. The only reason I found it was due to your post - I then became curious to see what WAS the highest rate and found this house.

Dickinson (Bay Colony) = Clear Lake's exurb. On the edge of the boonies, I guess someone's gotta pay for new schools & infrastructure.

I wonder why they listed tax rate for two school districts there...
You drop Spring and the tax rate goes down to 3,1361
This is Klein ISD only

God that's still way to much if you mean 3.1361 and not 3k/yr. My next place will be no more than 2.6 without HSE.
