Thien-An > Cali Sandwich

They're practically right across Travis from each other in Midtown.

also..the biggest, most voluptuous banh mis in Houston are from the Hong Kong food market on Scarsdale in the SE area of town. They are only $2.50 at their most expensive (combo, bbq pork, roast pork) but they are much larger and have much more meat than any other place I've ever been to in Houston.

It doesn't need to be loaded with meat to be good. I imagine I'd even like the vegetarian (tofu) version. I ought to try it one day just for grins. A good roll and the fresh cilantro makes it for me.

Pho Binh just recently opened on Wilcrest and Bellaire. If it is good as their other sister one(Beechnut/Wilcrest), i might try it. Right now, the Pho Dem is the hot one in town.
