I know that September/October and onward are considered good times for buying A/C units because winter is on the way, but what about when you need to buy a combination air conditioner/gas heat system? No such luck or maybe?

Thanks!

Our heating guy said their quietest times are around March. We got a fantastic deal on a combo unit.

In Indiana, it is not quite heating or AC time in March.

Most companies run deals year round and i haven't noticed a time that is better then the other, though you will often get much better deals with a furnace/ac combo.

I would say if you have the money do it now before the rebate ends.

"Is there a best time to buy an air conditioner/gas heat combination system?"

Isn't it before the old one actually dies?
I'd hate to get caught without A/C or heat for a day or two.

Actaully if you have a regular air conditioing/heating guy he can tell you when the brands he installs are best priced with rebate and incentive. Don't forget tax breaks for more effcient units.
