Can anyone chime in on the maintenance of copper sinks in the kitchen??? Love the look but don't want to have to work to keep it looking that way.
Thank You!

I found this info on a website for copper vanity tops:
Finish Maintenance: Copper sinks and copper tubs will patina with time and normal use, creating a much sought-after living finish. If you wish to keep your copper fixture in its original condition and prevent the natural aging process, wipe it dry after each use. Apply normal wax at least once every 15-20 days.
Cleaning:
Because of copper's natural composition, cleaning is easy. Simply rinse after each use to rid the surface of any soap or dirt. For a more thorough cleaning, wash occasionally with dish soap and a sponge.

Maintenance? What maintenance?
As Raleigh posted- the natural patina is what you want. But if you want to keep that "high polished" look (why, I don't know) there are several way to get it to that point- which I 'm not going into. But, to keep it that way- car polish (paste wax).
It's also recommended for cultured marble vanity tops- to keep a high luster.

I just wasn't sure what a copper sink would look like over time and what has to be done to take care of it. I have a copper pot that has aged and I am not a huge fan of how it looks-but it has a smooth surface. I love the hammered copper sinks I have seen but am curious what they may look like over time and what has to be done to take care of them-that's all. I don't mind a "patina" but don't like the dirty look I have seen some copper pots get.
