Hello all,

Need some advice on wireless doorbells. I live in a rowhouse, 3 floors. I spend a lot of time on the 1st floor room practicing music. Therefore I need at least 2 receivers (1st and 2nd floors). It would be better if there were 3 receivers. It needs to be loud because of my practicing.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

Lowes has a selection of wireless doorbells, some are even decorative. What you probably need is a door bell system for the hearing impared. A set of lights that flash on and off when someone presses the door bell.

Great suggestion! I had a wireless doorbell once, in a single-story apartment. I could hear it during the day, but slept right through it at night (and I'm not a heavy sleeper).

Just a tip-make sure you don't get the same one as any neighbors. Some friends had one and their next door neighbors got the same one, they were on the same frequency and when one doorbell would ring it would ring in both houses

Thanks for the tips. I did go to lowes and home depot. I was actually looking to get some personal experiences on specific products you might have used.

Word of warning. Our wireless door bell was mounted on the door frame which was open to the weather (rain and sun). No matter how well insulated it was it didn't last. If it's going to be in a covered area it should last. Some models allow you to change the type of door bell wring by moving pieces inside.
