I think many people live in homes built after 1978 (is that the year?)

my house was built in 2009, and my old house that was built in 1925 has been completely repainted and drywalled... so I am sure lead paint is not a problem.

If you have an old house and hasn't been painted in say 30 years and the paint is peeling... then maybe. Probably the only place that would happened would be in an old house's basement or garage.
