The whole front is that type of stone except for the white areas you see in the picture. The sides and back are the white color. I don't like the way it mixes with the stone. Anyone have a better color selection?
I had no real opinion on the awnings. They weren't going to be left white. Either they will be painted or taken down. What would be best in your guys opinions? I personally don't like them, but can't really picture what it would look like painted or taken down.
I would take them down. Just from the pics you have posted of your home, it looks like it has tons of charm. Without the awnings, I think it would just add to it more.
I agree with ladybug. I would take the awnings down. The color of the home should somewhat blend in with the stone. This will give it a very rich look. I would pic any color in the stone that would stand out the most! If you do keep the awnings they would need to be sprayed a color in the stone a shade lighter or darker of whatever you pick for the home. Good luck, the stonework is beautiul on your home.
Isn't one of the awnings over a doorway maybe?? iMHO I'd at least leave that one- I hate not having something overhanging a door 'specially when you are trying to get in, in the rain! but I would paint it the accent color (pulled from the stone) If ya want...looks like a neat ole house!
If you want to leave the awnings you could use black trim with the moss green that people are talking about-I agree with that color choice too--try the Dry Sage at Benjamin Moore--LOVE that color.
Black trim would compliment that color and tie in the awnings.
