No, this apparently occurred during the building boom a few years ago. 2004 to 2006 if I recall correctly. Google chinese drywall and Florida for more info.

So I don't have to worry about unwittingly buying drywall from China then? LOL

I hope not, I have a couple rooms in my house that still need renovation!

Exclamation Chinese drywalls - people are getting very sick!

This problem is causing people to get very sick. We've already contacted one of the best attorneys we could find. check out these links for more info:

We hope you find an attorney fast, get your home problem fixed and avoid getting sick.
The attorneys told us they will set up a free inspection and we will also get compensated for all damages including our health.

I hope this helps,
Jason Carreras.

To my knowledge, this stuff has not officially been recalled and could still be out there for sale.

It has been found in 41 states so far and is expected to be mostly in the west where it came in to the country.

Right now Florida is the stand out state with sightings of the stuff in Canada.
Some builders are asking homeowners to sign waivers, fixing the dw, putting them up in hotels and all that stuff. Problem is once that happens you are through. No one knows what the ramifications are or will be with the dw.
Go to Homeowner for Better Building and Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings and you can get much information there as well as American Watchdog.

Next issue at hand, Mexican Crumbling Brick in which new houses are literally crumbling. (google it)

By the way jsmile12345 would you happen to be in Florida?
I saw your posting on Implode. Good you are letting people know.
