I just got a great deal on kitchen cabinets. My husband and I are building our house ourselves and most of our supplies are from Lowe's. We picked out their "Napa" in stock cabinets for my kitchen.

We went to Lowe's yesterday and all their in stock cabinets are on clearance. I don't know if this is true for all stores or just ours. Anyway I bought 17 cabinets for $1425.00 and they were normally $2600.00. Woo Hoo, what a deal.

Lisa I been following your project since your ground breaking. I love your property and the views.

But cabinets are my business. And when I saw you bought that brand I choked. I actually had to wipe my mouth. You did not get any deal. You mearly got 50% off list price of the cheapest product on earth. Now dont get mad at me. Im not plugging any product though I know them all over my 30 something year kitchen designer career.

I sell the top products money can buy for 50% off list every single day to the public. Go ahead and tell me it's none of my business but to be doing such a great job so far and then devaluing your home with that junk is no bargain. Have you looked at real kitchen cabinets? You are building a home. You already know the difference in junk and quality. We all learn fast. Why are you putting corrugated cardboard in your nice home?

Anyway you reminded me. I should go check on your progress.

Desertsun41,

I understand where you're coming from and I am in no way offended. Mike and I have been using this same brand of cabinets in remodels and our own houses for many years. Personally we have never had any problems with them. As long as they look nice, I'm happy. Anyway, if I change my mind and want to re-model or update in 5 years I haven't lost a dime and that is the value in cheaper cabinets, IMO.

Hi Lisa, I notice that you bought the Napa Cabinets from Lowes. We did as well; however, we didn't know they were being discontinued...and we still had more cabinets to buy. Did you happen to have any that you didn't use and would like to sell? Thanks!
