1. How do you get the calcium deposits (white deposits) off the shower door? I've tried CLR but it didn't get all the deposits off. Any other solutions?
2. Once I do get the deposits off, what can i do to keep them from getting back on? I read online on using a suqeejee to wipe of the water of the glass everytime the shower is used. OR is that some kind of coating which i can put on the glass to prevent water from sticking (similar to the ones we get for fences)?
Half & half mixture of white vinegar and water. Use like a window cleaner, spray and wipe often.
I did a search. Here are some tips: Compliments of Garden Web; Note...The fabric softener dryer sheets tip I have heard works great. Be sure and update. Good luck Soap Scum/Film On Glass Shower Doors - Cleaning Tips Forum - GardenWeb
Just a FYI: Vinegar is a great mosquito repellent too. I put it on my exposed skin, and also rub my bulldog with it.

I started using a solution of half vinegar and half water as a final rinse for my hair. I put the solution in a spray bottle and spritz my hair. While I am waiting the few minutes or so before rinsing, I spray down my shower door. I no longer have a problem with build up on my doors.
2. Rain-X. Then wipe it down when after you take a shower.
When we moved into our current house, renters lived here for many years and I am confident never once thought of cleaning the shower door. Had same problem and I did the above suggestion. Works like a charm although there is some considerable elbow grease to get it clean the first time.
