The house i was thinking about insulating with spray foam was built in the 70s, so it is insulated but like most homes could use some more.
I would like to do the basement walls only. Spray foam is best used in new home construction, not as easy as punching a couple small holes in the drywall as i found out. They literally have to take the walls off, in this case drywall and panelling, no biggy and a easy fix. I'd like to know from anyone who's done this or has learned of certain pitfalls i havent considered. How bout, is there any strange reactions with the spray foam and say the regular insulation? Lingering odors? problems with condensation? if you did the basement walls, did you also do the floor? etc......Any insight appreciated
