HI. I am trying to help my sister pick and paint a bathroom. It has colbalt blue bath tile half way up wall and on floor. Her fixtures are chrome and her cabinetry and tile around tub are white-its actually a pretty bathroom-but she has been stuck on the paint color. I told her I'd ask my city-data crew. Thanks-Amy

White with a touch of blue mixed in. Not engouh blue to really darken the white, just a touch. Highlights of brugundy can work with Cobalt but not too much.

I say pure white for a crisp nautical look. Clear shower curtain, white rug, white hand towels with cobalt blue trim.

I'd go with white walls, but also a white shower curtain. Accessory colors for towels, shower curtain, etc. can always be changed. Yellow towels could look very fresh with the blue & white scheme.

I like the nautical white and blue theme that others have mentioned.

But in case she wants to consider another color . . . yellow can be very appealing w/ cobalt blue. I would put white plantation shutters on the window, yellow walls, white trim and white towels w/ cobalt blue and yellow trim. White shower curtain or white curtain w/ cobalt and yellow (like towels).

If you wanted to see some other colors and design patterns that match with the cobalt blue....you may get some great inspiration on this site:
Terracota Mexican Tile with Talavera Finish Cobalt Blue (Box With 50 Tiles)
Check out all the various hand painted sink designs by clicking the 'Best Sellers' to the right.

I really like the idea of the cobalt blue with white....since I love white. But, your sister may want to add something different into her personal decor. For example: the sunflower design mixed with the blue really caught my eye.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I like the white idea with the blue. I think it does give it a fresh/clean look.

Greens, blues, whites, and yellows--like the Mexican tiles. Add a touch of orange or hot-pick (opposite the color wheel) to accent things. Sounds like a nice-looking bathroom.

Thanks.
