In that case, there are films that have a heavy privacy frost in several colors that you can get at a local sign shop or online that will last 15 years or more. The static cling is cheaper but won't last long due to the constant temperature changes.

I feel the same. My doors are open the majority of the year.

I don't have curtains on my living room windows. I like the view.
