Here is a story for ya! Some time ago during one of Denver's not so unusual monumental traffic jams; One involved a vehicle driven by a senior who had a flat and could not quite get the vehicle off the lane on his own. A driver a couple cars back got out of his car, helped push the vehicle to the side of the road, and changed the tire for the individual.
The good samaritan? Joe Sakic.
He could flat out play! Without a doubt, he will always be the face of the Av's franchise as it has been learned he will stay with the organization in a non player capacity. Every part of his game excelled. I'm not sure where he will fit in several years down the road where he belongs among the great hockey players of the NHL, but he WILL be in the top 10, IMO.
And he is just a great man off the ice, having done numerous community related things for the Av's. He's not just a regular Joe, he's a great Joe.
Location: Moose Jaw, in between the Moose's butt and nose.
