This is the problem with Rangers - too much money to throw around and it's only because of the pressure on the Broadway to win now, to win to-day. Holik and recently Scott Gomez are two examples of "let's try it - if it's not working out - trade it or buy out" philosophy in NYC. Let's see and hope that Gaborik's acquisition will work for Rangers . ?!

He is still the most underrated player on the roster IMO.

Youre comparing post lockout to pre lockout.

The moment Grachev and Sanguinetti both get called up, approximately half the team is homegrown.

and if they dont get called up this year, theyre definitely on the team next year.

Thats 10/20 homegrown players.

How many "aging vets past their prime" do the Rangers exactly have now?

Thats the argument that was always used before. "Aging vets pats their prime." Scott Gomez as a Ranger was 27 and 28. Aging huh?

Pressure to win is more in Canada. Ever heard of Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton?

How many other teams have overpaid for FAs? Philly? San Jose?

Come on dude.

I'm glad to see Higgins finally get one the other day. His 2 game scoring streak is a great payoff for his hard work. Hopefully he can continue to contribute on a regular basis.
