I have no insight on this, but I do hope he comes back. I liked those Toews-Kane teams a lot. But Toews really doesn't have anything to prove, so if he doesn't return I don't think it shortchanges his legacy any..
I've been watching a lot of Hawks' preseason. Bedard has looked good; I'm lookin' forward to his freshman season.
I was reading that Bedard's arrival has given Chicago's (season) ticket sales a good bump.
He’s been off to quite a good start so far. Watched his first three games, and his point totals don’t reflect nearly what he’s been capable of doing during his shifts. He creates tons of chances for both himself and his teammates. It’s only a matter of time until his numbers start to skyrocket. Looks like a young Crosby, minus the attitude problems.

Bedard has done absolutely nothing yet and you are comparing him to one of the greatest ever. LOL @ you!
About once a season I'd guess. Not NHL but I was at a Charlotte Checkers (AHL) in January where they won 9-0
LMAO! Twice in a row! Holy cow...
