We definitely need to restock on forwards. Our offense is so anemic it is scary.

Maybe if we had a guy like Hasek in his prime, then we wouldn't have to worry about offense so much but we don't.

We could have a piece of plexiglass mounted in front of the net, and we'd still have to worry about our offense

Resurecting this old thread to announce signing of Martin Biron 1 year 1.4 million. I guess DePietro won't be ready for October.

I was surprised that they got Marty so cheap. I think its a great signing by the Isles: cheap, short contract. If Di Pietro comes back Biron could be trade bait at playoff time.

No sane team will take his contract. Too much money, too many years.

Who do you think would want a contract for another 10-12 years for an injury plagued goalie who is overpriced as well? No one! Biron is the trade bait if we are tankin this season like someone else previously stated. That's why he came here.He figured if we win,he'll look like a million bucks and then go to a better team next year and if we can't score any goals, teams will still inquire to have a solid backup or starter for playoff time.
