Ok boys and girls, it's that time again, and it's calling for another NHL season thread. I for one have been anticipating this since July and I am beyond excited for what should be a great season.
Here is where we can rant, roast, vent, and brag on our teams and discuss everything from trades to meltdowns to awesome saves/goals and everything else in between.
What do you see from your team this season? Do you think they will improve/falter/stay the same? As the new slogan says, Questions will become anwsers
Have at it and I cannot submit this thread without saying the following, and that following saying is............
I really wish they would modify the rep function Tried to rep you Canes but couldn't my friend so take my positive thought as a rep.
Let the pucks drop and enjoy this wonderful game.
I expect the same from the Caps, don't know if they'll win the President's Trophy but I don't care just win the dern Cup. Ovechkin should have another good year along with Semin. Defense could be the only weak spot on the team but I think goaltending is solid with Varlamov and Neuvirth.
Vegas odds right now have Caps and Pens as Cup favorites at 6-1. Of course, a lot can/will happen so time will tell but I hope that the Caps hold their end.
I think the Sharks have improved overall from last year.
Losing Malhotra was tough... but they got Mayers who's pretty good.
Lost Nabokov but gained two quality goalies.
And... the young guys like Pavelski, Demers, Setaguchi, McGinn and Courtre have another year experience which should help.
It's about time! Any beer league players on the forum?
