I'm right here thanks for asking.
Congrats to the Hawks. No shame in losing to a young talented upstart set of young chaps like them.
Ok I see you are a diehhard Flyers Fan and not afraid to be on the scene after a crushing loss. I respect that a lot and just want to say the Flyers showed nothing but fight all series and never gave up.

4-3 in overtime is "crushing" ? Sounds more like they won by the skin of their teeth to me and if Carter hadn't shot over the net in the final minutes of the game we would be sitting in front of our TVs for a game 7 on Friday. Yes, The Hawks did win and you have my congratulations for that but using adjectives like "crushing" is just plain absurd.

It is not often that I agree with TVSG, but the adjective crushing in this contex means that it was a "rip your heart out" type of loss. Any loss in the finals is a crushing loss, he didnt mean "crush" as in slaughtered. Thats pretty obvious.
Getting a first down on a 4th and 1 in a tie game with 4 minutes left is a "crushing" blow to the opposing team, but does not mean they are going to blow them out. There is a term called "soulcrushing" for a reason.

Sorry....still don't buy "crushing".....I think the more applicable words TVSG guy is looking for but can't find in his thesaurus is "devastating" or "heart wrenching" ?
