I note that many of these 'interesting facts' are, in fact, very widely known by anyone who knows virtually anything at all about Adolf Hitler.
Quote:
15. Hitler never gained majority support in free elections. The most the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) garnered was 37.3% in July 1932. In 1933, when Hitler became Chancellor, the Nazis had only one third of the seats in the Reichstag.
|
Similar things could be said about many leaders and parties in multiparty who hold positions as a result of free elections.
Quote:
46. In 1937, Hitler created a new medal for foreign friends of the Reich called The Cross of the German Eagle Order. The first recipient was American Henry Ford. Hitler admired Ford largely because Ford hated Jews and had bought the newspaper Dearborn Independent to publish anti-Semitic stories. Ford even built Hitler an automobile assembly plant in Berlin.

Hitler actually singles out Henry Ford in Mein Kampf (the only U.S. citizen specifically mentioned in the book) as an object of his admiration, for his anti-Semitism but as much for his industrial innovations.
Quote:
48. In 1937, Carl Jung analyzed Hitler’s handwriting and wrote that it included “typical characteristics of a man with essentially feminine instinct.”

Quote:
50. Hitler reportedly had a sweet tooth. He ate up to two pounds of chocolate per day.

"up to"
Translation: 'At least one day in his life, he ate two pounds of chocolate.'
Hitler was rather obsessive about his diet. To suggest that he consumed large quantities of chocolate on a regular basis is simply wrong. He did not.
On a side note, Ian Kershaw's two-volume biography of Hitler is excellent. I highly recommend it:
