Know this is an old thread but was curious to know whether your discomfort where you had your hernia repair ever did go away? I too had an inguinal hernia repaired and "reaggravated" the area after doing leg presses. I, like you were, am a little freeked out. Want to know if your discomfort ever went away or if you found you had another hernia.

Had an inguinal hernia surgery incision not laparoscopic on my right side, placed a mesh and took few weeks to get back to regular activities but lately as I play soccer , the incision and around it gets hard and sore to the touch. Sometimes it seems radiating around to the lower areas.

My husband has had multiple hernia repairs...one of the stitches went thru a nerve, and that was very painful...had to "kill" the nerve. IF he gains weight, he does get pressure from the multiple meshes he has. So yes...pressure is possible....if it hurts, go to the doctor and make sure that's all it is!

I had double inguinal hernia surgery 2 years ago. The left side healed fine whereas the right side needed more extensive repair. Everything went fine until a couple of weeks ago when I was working out on my treadmill. I now have had recurring sharp pains under my stitches on my right side surgery. I have now had these burning sensation pains that last only for a second or so whenever I move a certain way. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Could this be scar tissue that built up over 2 years and is just now giving me these burning pain sensations? And does anyone have any advice on what I should do about this? I am still working out without pain but the pain comes and goes sporadically.

Oh yeah! The old lump 13 years after surgery story.

The surgery was nowhere near your "sack"
